If we can provide public charging stations for electric cars, we can do the same for the electric wheelchair community.

San Francisco needs to step up on public electric wheelchair charging stations.

I can’t say there is no progress. On April 19, 2024, The Mayor’s Disability Council addressed the matter (item 7). My two years of nagging the Mayor’s Office on Disability paid off.

But the problem is that not one member of the Board of Supervisors has brought up the subject for funding. And yes, a excited staffer from Supervisor Dean Preston’s office contacted me in reply to my email. So, this issue was not overlooked, it was under-valued.
